Asian Debate Institute 2008

 Location:

The KDI School is located on the KAIST Seoul campus.  It is approximately halfway between Korea University and Kyung Hee University.  The nearest subway stations are Hoegi (for Kyung Hee) and Korea University.

 

We will be running a shuttle bus from two subway stations every morning:

Cheongyangni Station (Line 1), Exit #2

Korea University Station (Line 6), Exit #3 

 

There will be return buses in the evening after the final debate.  If you miss the shuttle buses, you will need to take an alternate route to the school. (Directions below the schedule)

Driving:

From Naebu Expressway, proceed in the direction of the Seongsu JC, exit from the Gireum Ramp. About 500 meters from the intersection, you will find a one-way street going toward Cheongnyangni Station. After following the road, you will come to another intersection about 1 kilometer ahead. Turn left from the intersection, in the direction of Kyunghee University. 400 meters ahead you will see the entrance of the KDI School on the left, across the street from Hongneung Elementary School.

 

By Subway/Taxi/Bus: 

 

Bus:

Bus #273 (Blue Bus) stops directly in front of the KDI School/KAIST campus.  Exit at Hongneung Elementary School (not in front of the KDI, which has a totally different campus than the KDI School!).  The KDI School is inside the KAIST campus, on the hill to the right of the main entrance.

 

From Hoegi Station (Line #1):

Take the local maeul bus (green bus) to Kyung Hee University.  Exit the bus and walk away from Kyung Hee.  You will pass Burger King on your right.  Proceed past Burger King and walk up the hill along the main road for about 10 minutes.  When you come to the KAIST campus (you will see Hongneung Elementary School on your left), enter the campus and turn right and proceed up the hill to the KDI School.  We are located in the back right corner of the KAIST campus. 

 

From Cheongnyangni station (Line #1):

From here you can either take a taxi to the KDI School, which is about a 2,000 Won fare or you can take the 1215 bus from Cheongnyangni station and get off at Hongneung Elementary School. Across the street, you will see the main gate of the KDI School. Pass through the school main gate and you will see the KDI School to the right.

 

From Anam Station or Korea University Station (Line #6):

Leave either station and take bus #273 (blue bus) to Hongneung Elementary School. Across the street, you will see the main gate of the KDI School. Pass through the school main gate and you will see the KDI School to the right.

Alternatively, get off the subway at Korea University and exit from Exit #3. From here you can either take a taxi to the KDI School, which is about a 2,000 Won fare or you can walk to KDI School (about 10-15 minutes). Enter the KAIST Campus (which will be on your left), pass through the school main gate and you will see the KDI School to the right on the top of the hill.
